ONEONTA, N.Y. – Junior guards Jeremy Smith (Bronx/Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy) and Brian Manning (Elmira/Southside) combined for 39 points as Cortland defeated host Oneonta, 73-51. The Red Dragons improved to 16-6 with the triumph.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Cortland women's gymnastics team recorded a score of 188.625, the third-highest in school history, in a tri-match versus Division I foes Rutgers and Brown. Rutgers, the host school, finished first with a 192.375 and Brown was second with a 190.125.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Three different players scored goals as the Cortland women's ice hockey team earned a 3-1 win at Buffalo St. Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Red Dragons split the two-game weekend series and improved to 5-14-1 overall and 3-12-1 in the ECAC West. The Bengals fell to 7-14-2 and 4-11-1.

ONEONTA, N.Y. – SUNYAC leader Oneonta pulled away from a tight game late in the first half and the host Red Dragons went on to defeat Cortland, 72-62, in a conference matchup. Cortland lost despite senior guard Molly Byrne (Syracuse/Bishop Ludden) tying a school single-game record with eight three-pointers.

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Sophomore goalie Mark Friesen (Calgary, AB/Langley) made 29 saves as the Fredonia St. men's hockey team skated to a 3-0 win versus Cortland Saturday night in SUNYAC action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons fell to 5-17-1 overall and 3-10-1 in the conference, while the Blue Devils improved to 11-9-3 and 6-6-3.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Cortland set a conference record in the 200-yard medley relay and senior Danny Salvatore (Clarence) broke the school record with a runner-up finish in the 100-yard breaststroke during the second day of competition at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Swimming and Diving Championships at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Center.

With the win, Cortland (15-6 overall) moves into a tie for second place with Buffalo State in the SUNYAC standings with a 10-4 league record and four games remaining.

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Alex McCullough led five New Paltz double-figure scorers with 18 points as the Hawks defeated visiting Cortland, 73-62. New Paltz improved to 14-8 overall and is third in the SUNYAC with a 12-3 mark. Cortland's five-game winning streak was snapped with the loss. The Red Dragons are fourth in the league at 8-6 and are 13-8 overall.

The Red Dragons fell to 5-16-1 overall and 3-9-1 in the conference, while the Bengals improved to 11-10-2 and 7-6-1.
