For the second consecutive week, SUNY Cortland senior defensive end Evan Wyler (Warwick/Warwick Valley) has been selected to the D3football.com national “Team of the Week,” presented by Scoutware. His latest honor is for the week ending Nov. 1. The team consists of the best performers by position among all Division III schools during the week.

SUNY Cortland freshman Justin Autera (Mahopac) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) football Offensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 1.

Autera rushed for 67 yards on only five carries in Cortland’s 30-7 win over visiting The College of New Jersey last Saturday. He averaged 13.4 yards per attempt, with a long run of 29 yards, and caught one pass.

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland’s defense allowed only 190 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers in a 30-7 victory over The College of New Jersey in rainy conditions on Senior Day. Cortland is now 6-2 overall and in the NJAC, while TCNJ drops to 4-4 overall and 3-4 in the NJAC.

SUNY Cortland senior defensive end Evan Wyler (Warwick/Warwick Valley) has been selected to the D3football.com national “Team of the Week,” presented by Scoutware, for the week ending Oct. 25. The team consists of the best performers by position among all Division III schools during the week.

Wyler made a team-high and career-high 13 tackles, including 10 solo stops, in Cortland’s 12-10 victory at William Paterson last Saturday. He also recorded four quarterback hurries. The Red Dragon defense prevented the Pioneers from entering Cortland territory the entire second half to preserve the win.
