OSWEGO, N.Y. – Luke Moodie scored two goals and added an assist as the nationally top-ranked Oswego men's hockey team skated past Cortland, 5-2, Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 7-15 overall and 4-9 in the conference, and Oswego increased its winning streak to 20 games to improve to 21-1 and 13-0.
Sophomore Jake Saville (Bellingham, WA/Marquette Rangers) and freshman Chris Kaleta (Angola/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) scored goals for the Red Dragons. Senior Gerard Heinz (Kings Park/ NY Apple Core), sophomores Joey Christiano (Rochester/Port Hope Predators) and Corey John (Albany/SUNY Plattsburgh) and freshman Dave Williams (Mississauga, ON/Port Hope Predators) each recorded an assist. Sophomore Brittan Kuhlman (Elkhorn, NE/Winnipeg Saints) started in goal and made 17 saves through the first two periods. Freshman Doug Danzi (Nesconset/New Jersey Rockets) stopped 15 shots over the final 20 minutes.

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Freshman Brett Waters (Uxbridge, ON/Markham Waxers) scored a power-play goal with four minutes, 47 seconds remaining in the third period to lead the Potsdam men's hockey team to a 3-1 win over Cortland Saturday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 7-14 overall and 4-8 in the conference, while the Bears improved to 8-10-2 and 4-7-1.
Senior Gerard Heinz (Kings Park/NY Apple Core) and freshman Mike Lysyj (Hillsborough, NJ/South Shore Kings) scored Cortland's goals. Juniors Justin Porpora (Hauppauge/NY Bobcats) and Jarrett Gold (East Setauket/NY Bobcats) and sophomores Ryan Markell (Columbus, OH/Ohio St.) and Joey Christiano (Rochester/Port Hope Predators) each registered an assist. Junior Jarrett Gold (East Setauket/NY Bobcats) scored his team-high 13th goal of the season for the Red Dragons (7-13 overall, 4-7 SUNYAC), and senior Justin Porpora (Hauppauge/NY Bobcats) and sophomore Alex Arthur (Portland, ME/Boston Bulldogs) each recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Mike Reilly (New York/Bismarck Bobcats) stopped 23 shots and allowed three goals before being pulled for an extra skater late in the game.

With the loss, the Red Dragons fell to 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the conference. The Blue Devils posted their eighth consecutive win and improved to 14-4 and 6-3.
Sophomore goalie Brittan Kuhlman (Elkhorn, NE/Winnipeg Saints) turned aside 38 shots for Cortland.
