PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Stephanie Moberg scored three goals and assisted on another as nationally top-ranked Plattsburgh defeated Cortland, 6-1, in an ECAC West matchup. The Cardinals pulled away with three third-period goals and are now 17-1-1 overall and 14-0-1 in the conference. Cortland falls to 4-15-1 and 3-10-1.

Senior Jeanna Dippel (DuBois, PA/North American Hockey Academy) scored Cortland's lone goal and freshman Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary) made 44 saves for the Red Dragons.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -  The nationally top-ranked Plattsburgh women's ice hockey team scored seven unanswered goals and skated to an 8-1 win versus visiting Cortland Friday night in an ECAC West contest. The Red Dragons fell to 3-14-1 overall and 3-9-1 in the conference with the loss, while the Cardinals improved to 16-1-1 and 13-0-1 with the win.

Sophomore Danielle Scharf (Hopewell Junction/Berkshire School) scored Cortland's goal. Sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) and freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) each recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Katie Double (Farmington/Victor H.S.) made 22 saves in 33 minutes and 45 seconds before giving way to freshman Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary), who stopped 16 shots in 26:15.

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Oswego women's ice hockey team scored a pair of third-period goals just 54 seconds apart and defeated Cortland, 2-1, Sunday afternoon in ECAC West action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons fell to 4-13-1 overall and 3-8-1 in the conference with the setback, while the Lakers improved to 6-11-1 and 4-7-1.

Freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) scored her first career goal for Cortland. Junior Shannon Hakes (Rochester/Rochester Edge) and freshman Kellie Micillo (Sayville/Suffolk PAL) recorded assists. Sophomore goalie Katie Double (Farmington/Victor H.S.) made 26 saves.

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Sophomore Kelly Collins (Fairport/Taft Prep) scored with 42 seconds remaining in the third period to lift the Oswego women's ice hockey team into a 2-2 tie with Cortland Saturday afternoon in ECAC West action at Alumni Arena. The two teams, tied in the conference standings, meet again Sunday at 2 p.m.

Sophomore Danielle Scharf (Hopewell Junction/Berkshire School) and freshman Chelsey Wright (Medford/Suffolk PAL) each scored for Cortland (4-12-1 overall, 3-7-1 ECAC West). Sophomores Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) and Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) and freshman Kellie Micillo (Sayville/Suffolk PAL) collected one assist apiece. Freshman goalie Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary) made 32 saves.

ASTON, PA. – Jessica Schroeder scored a pair of goals as Neumann University defeated Cortland, 4-1, to complete a weekend sweep of ECAC West contests. The Knights are 10-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the league. Cortland is 4-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference, but has not allowed more than four goals in each of its first 16 games.

Cortland avoided the shutout when sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) scored her team-high eighth goal of the season with two minutes, 23 seconds left in the game. Freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) and sophomore Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) assisted on Giamo’s tally, which came on a power-play opportunity.

The Red Dragons fell to 4-11 overall and 3-6 in the conference with the loss, while the Knights improved to 9-6-1 and 4-4-1.

Senior Nicole Ruddy (Utica/Mohawk Valley Herricanes) led Cortland with a goal and an assist. Freshman Chelsey Wright (Medford/Suffolk PAL) scored a goal and freshman Sam Kuntz (Somers/Brewster Bulldogs) added an assist. Freshman goalie Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary) turned aside 49 shots.

POTSDAM, N.Y. - Freshman goalie Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary) stopped 32 shots and sophomore Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) netted two goals as the Cortland women's ice hockey team defeated host Potsdam, 4-0, Saturday afternoon to earn a split in the two-game weekend series. The Red Dragons improved to 4-10 overall and 3-5 in the ECAC West, while the Bears fell to 6-7-1 and 3-6.

Sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) and freshman Chelsey Wright (Medford/Suffolk PAL) also scored goals for Cortland. Sophomore Ashley Meyer (New York/Sound Shore Warriors) recorded a goal and an assist, sophomore Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) contributed two assists and freshman Cara Latchum (Warrington, PA/Wyoming Seminary) chipped in with one assist. The Red Dragons dropped to 3-8 with the setback, while the Continentals improved to 2-4-2. The two teams meet in Hamilton on Saturday night.
