The Red Dragons fell to 3-14-1 overall and 3-9-1 in the conference with the loss, while the Cardinals improved to 16-1-1 and 13-0-1 with the win.
Sophomore Danielle Scharf (Hopewell Junction/Berkshire School) scored Cortland's goal. Sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) and freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) each recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Katie Double (Farmington/Victor H.S.) made 22 saves in 33 minutes and 45 seconds before giving way to freshman Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary), who stopped 16 shots in 26:15.

The Red Dragons fell to 4-13-1 overall and 3-8-1 in the conference with the setback, while the Lakers improved to 6-11-1 and 4-7-1.

The Knights are 10-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the league. Cortland is 4-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference, but has not allowed more than four goals in each of its first 16 games.
Cortland avoided the shutout when sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) scored her team-high eighth goal of the season with two minutes, 23 seconds left in the game. Freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) and sophomore Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) assisted on Giamo’s tally, which came on a power-play opportunity.
