Dave Colagiovanni's victory at 133 pounds staked the Red Dragons to an early 9-0 lead
OSWEGO, N.Y. – Cortland opened up a 17-3 lead after five matches and defeated Oswego, 29-15, to remain undefeated in dual matches this season. The Red Dragons, ranked fifth nationally in Division III, are now 10-0 with the victory.

Peppy Cabrera (Bay Shore/Brentwood) at 125 pounds. Cabrera is ranked eighth nationally at 125 pounds. Sophomore

Oswego got on the board at 141 pounds when Derrick Smith upset nationally sixth-ranked Joe Widrick (Beaver Falls/Beaver River), 7-5, but the Red Dragons won the next two matches. Junior
Paul LeBlanc (Morrisville/Morrisville-Eaton), ranked fourth nationally, won by a 17-0 technical fall in four minutes at 149 pounds. Freshman
Tyler Sick (Cohocton/Hornell) followed with a 4-0 decision at 157 pounds.
A pin by Oswego's Cam Mills at 165 pounds cut Cortland's deficit to 17-9, but Cortland gained six points when senior
Zack Bogardus (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley), ranked eighth at 165 pounds, received a forfeit win at 174 pounds. Cortland sealed the win with a 6-4 victory by sophomore
Tom Delesia (Islip Terrace/East Islip) at 184 pounds. Delesia used an escape plus a riding time point for his margin of victory.
Senior
Brett Giehl (Rochester/Greece Athena), ranked eighth at 184 pounds, wrestled at 197 pounds and won his match 9-4. Oswego was victorious in the final match when Jake Taylor, ranked sixth at heavyweight, won by pin.
LeBlanc improved his record to 21-1 this season with his win. Colagiovanni upped his seasonal mark to 20-5, while Bogardus is 22-3 and Cabrera is 23-4 after their forfeit wins.
