FIRST BOARD MEETING HELD SEPT. 27

The first meeting of the C-club Board of Directors for the 2008-09 membership years was held on Saturday, September 27, in the Hall of Fame Room at 10 a.m. Welcomed as new board members were Ted Woods '53, a C-Club Hall of Fame member, and Gordon Valentine '68, past president of the Alumni Association.

TIMELINE

The first section of the new timeline "Cortland in the 21st Century" has been completed and is now on display in the Hall of Fame Room. Team sport pictures are in the process of being added to the wall. The C-Club would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Board members Pete Koryzno, Fran Elia, Joan Sitterly and Antoinette Tiburzi for their work on this project. A special thanks to Tony DeRado, the College graphic designer, and Graphics Plus Printing for developing the final product. Please stop into the Hall of Fame Room at your earliest convenience to view the new wall.

HALL OF FAME DISPLAY CASE

The display case in the Hall of Fame Room is under construction and expected to be ready by Hall of Fame weekend in October. The new displays will recognize Whitney T. "Pete" Corey '43, Sally Wallace '53 and the 1988 football team, which is being honored as a Classic Team on Saturday night, November 15, after the Cortaca Jug game between Cortland and Ithaca. The C-Club thanks Antoinette Tiburzi, Joan Sitterly and the History Preserved Committee for their time and effort.

Hall of Fame inductions will be held on Saturday night, October 25.  An informal reception will be held on Friday night, October 24, at the Lynne Parks '68 Alumni House starting at 8 p.m. for members of the Hall of Fame and the C-Club Board of Directors.
