Three members of the SUNY Cortland men’s soccer team have been chosen to the 2009 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) all-league team. Senior forward Harald Gracholski (Memel, Germany/Hermano Zudermano) was named to the all-conference first team, while junior forward Steve Bartkowski (Buffalo/Kenmore East) and junior midfielder Matt Kutzer (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius) were third-team selections.
Gracholski, in his first season with the Red Dragons, led the team with 11 goals scored and added one assist in 16 games. He scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Buffalo State and both of Cortland’s goals in a 2-1 win over visiting Oneonta.
Bartkowski recorded three goals and one assist for seven points in 17 contests. Kutzer registered a goal and an assist in 16 games. He was a second-team all-league defender last year.
Cortland finished the season 5-9-3 with six one-goal losses. The Red Dragons were 4-4-1 in SUNYAC play and qualified for the league postseason tournament for the fifth straight year.
