SUNY Cortland senior Krista Bergquist (West Islip) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Nov. 15.

Bergquist won two individual events and was part of a winning relay team in Cortland's home dual loss to Geneseo last Saturday. She finished first in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.36) and 100-yard butterfly (1:02.56). She also swam the 50-yard butterfly leg of Cortland's winning 200-yard medley relay in 27.04 seconds.
