CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland won all 10 matches, including four by pin and two by technical fall, and the nationally 13th-ranked Red Dragons stayed unbeaten in dual-match action with a 50-0 shutout over visiting RIT.

Cortland (6-0) posted pins by freshman Sean Kempf (Wantagh/MacArthur) at 125 pounds, junior Joey Widrick (Castorland/Beaver River) at 141 pounds, junior Cory Mahoney (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy) at 157 pounds and senior and nationally 10th-ranked Joe Murphy (St. James/Smithtown) at heavyweight. Freshman 133-pounder Mike Walker (Uniondale) and junior 149-pounder Stephen Perez (Bronx/Francis Lewis) each won by more than 15-point margins for technical falls.

The closest match of the day came at 197 pounds where sophomore Carl Korpi (Miller Place), ranked seventh nationally, recorded a takedown with seven seconds left to edge RIT's Stephan Avorkliya (Charlotte, NC/East Mecklenburg), 4-3.

Senior Mike Ciaburri (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon), ranked ninth nationally at 174 pounds, posted a 14-4 major decision. Freshman Jared Myhrberg (Queensbury) won 9-2 at 184 pounds and senior Will Brodfuehrer (Canastota) won by injury default three minutes into his match at 165 pounds after leading 4-1.

Cortland is next scheduled to compete Jan. 9 at the North/South Duals, hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.
