MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - Nationally 14th-ranked Cortland won nine matches, five by pin, and defeated host Morrisville State, 46-6, in dual-match action. Cortland improves to 5-0 with the win and the Mustangs drop to 1-4.

Four of Cortland pins were by nationally ranked wrestlers. Junior Stephen Perez (Bronx/Francis Lewis), ranked eighth at 149 pounds, won by pin in three minutes, 31 seconds and senior Mike Ciaburri (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon), ranked 10th at 174 pounds, pinned his opponent in only 44 seconds.

Sophomore Carl Korpi (Miller Place), ranked 10th at 197 pounds, recorded his pin in 6:03 and senior heavyweight Joe Murphy (St. James/Smithtown), also ranked 10th nationally, pinned his opponent in two minutes. Senior Kevin Sackett (Webster/Webster Thomas) earned Cortland's other pin in 2:40 at 157 pounds.

Cortland's other victories were an 11-3 major decision by freshman Sean Kempf (Wantagh/MacArthur) at 125 pounds, a 16-1 technical fall by senior Dave Colagiovanni (Mahopac) at 133 pounds, a 10-2 major decision by senior Will Brodfuehrer (Canastota) at 165 pounds and an 8-6 decision by freshman Alex Meyers (Morrisville/Morrisville-Eaton) at 184 pounds.

Morrisville's Brian Latham won by forfeit at 141 pounds for the Mustangs' points.
