SUNY Cortland freshman Amanda Caloia (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Lacrosse Goalie of the Week for the week ending March 22.
Caloia registered a .531 save percentage during a 1-1 week for the Red Dragons. Last Tuesday, she stopped nine shots in just over 57 minutes of action in a 17-7 victory versus Rochester. On Saturday, she made a career-high 17 saves in a 16-10 loss at nationally fifth-ranked The College of New Jersey.
Caloia is averaging nearly 11 saves per game in her first four collegiate outings. Cortland is 2-2 and is ranked 15th nationally in Division III.
