LeBlanc Places Second in Nation; Red Dragons Finish 19th in Team Standings

Senior Paul LeBlanc concluded his career with three All-America honors and a 128-14 record
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - Senior Paul LeBlanc (Morrisville/Morrisville-Eaton) dropped a 6-3 decision to fourth-seeded Matt Mauseth of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the finals of the 149-pound weight class at the NCAA Div. III Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday. LeBlanc's runner-up finish was his third All-America accolade in four trips to the national meet. The Red Dragons finished 19th as a team. Wartburg won the team title for the second consecutive season.

LeBlanc, the third seed, opened Saturday with a 7-4 win over defending national champion Jacob Naig of Wartburg in the semifinals. LeBlanc's career came to an end with the setback versus Mauseth, who finished sixth nationally in 2008. LeBlanc completed his senior season with a 29-3 record and capped off his career as Cortland's leader in wins with 128.
