SUNY Cortland senior Kristin Barnoski (Stanley/Marcus Whitman) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10.
Barnoski won two events and anchored two winning relays in Cortland’s 165-135 dual-meet win over Rochester last Friday. She won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.61 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 56.97 seconds.
In the 400-yard medley relay, Barnoski posted a time of 55.26 seconds on the 100-yard freestyle leg. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, she was clocked in 24.64 seconds for the final 50 yards.
