Miranda Lustig (Medford/Patchogue-Medford) scored a career-high 12 points and dished out four assists as Cortland defeated visiting Fredonia, 79-60.
The Red Dragons have won six straight games and are now 11-3 overall and 6-1 in the SUNYAC. Fredonia drops to 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the league.
Laing secured her 12th double-double in 14 games this season by halftime with 12 points and 10 rebounds as Cortland took a 39-28 lead. Fredonia led 21-15 with 11:12 left in the opening period before the Red Dragons went on a 13-0 run, including seven points by Laing and four by sophomore
Mary Bruns (Brooklyn/Bishop Ford). Bruns tied her career high with 11 points. Cortland led 39-28 at halftime and by double figures the entire second half.
Lustig went 8-for-8 from the foul line and also registered three blocked shots and five rebounds. Sophomore Allyson Biordi (Beacon) scored nine points, including Cortland's only two three-pointers in the game, and added four steals and three assists. Sophomore

Liz Wierbinski (Camillus/West Genesee) led Fredonia with 13 points. Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) totaled nine points, five rebounds and three assists and Grace Moore (Fredonia) finished with eight points and four assists.
Cortland shot 41 percent from the field and made 83 percent (29-of-35) from the free throw line. Fredonia finished at 31 percent from the floor and 58 percent (15-of-26) from the line.
