ASTON, PA. – Jessica Schroeder scored a pair of goals as Neumann University defeated Cortland, 4-1, to complete a weekend sweep of ECAC West contests. The Knights are 10-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the league. Cortland is 4-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference, but has not allowed more than four goals in each of its first 16 games.

Cortland avoided the shutout when sophomore Maggie Giamo (Orchard Park/RIT) scored her team-high eighth goal of the season with two minutes, 23 seconds left in the game. Freshman Erika Osborne (Sharon Springs/The Harvey School) and sophomore Julia Fleming (Buffalo/Buffalo Bisons) assisted on Giamo's tally, which came on a power-play opportunity.

Neumann goalie Shannon Donnelly made 21 saves. Cortland freshman goalie Sarah Sitcov (Arlington, VA/Wyoming Seminary) stopped 29 shots.

Schroeder scored 1:54 into the game and Jennie Greenlee added a goal with 5:31 left in the period to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. Schroeder's second goal of the game and 10th of the season increased the lead to three goals 2:56 into the second period. Holly Williams followed with her seventh goal of the year with 8:58 left in the second.
