The 2010 SUNY Cortland Red Dragon Softball Clinic will be conducted in two sessions on Saturday, March 6, at the College’s Lusk Field House. The clinic is run by Cortland head coach Julie Lenhart, who has led the Red Dragons to a 479-200-1 record and nine NCAA Division III playoff appearances, including five World Series showings, since 1995.
The first session covers either pitching and catching mechanics or defensive techniques, while the second session features offensive techniques. The pitching session will feature former Binghamton University pitcher and pitching coach Amanda Spotteck.
The first session runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 9 a.m., while the second session runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with registration at 12:30 p.m.
The cost of the clinic is $50 per session, or $60 to attend both sessions, with pre-registration. The cost at the door is $75. The clinic is open to anyone ages 10-18 (grades 4-12). Participants are encouraged to bring their own glove, bat, batting gloves, catching equipment and helmets, and are asked to bring their own lunch.
