OSWEGO, N.Y. – Luke Moodie scored two goals and added an assist as the nationally top-ranked Oswego men's hockey team skated past Cortland, 5-2, Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 7-15 overall and 4-9 in the conference, and Oswego increased its winning streak to 20 games to improve to 21-1 and 13-0.

Sophomore Jake Saville (Bellingham, WA/Marquette Rangers) and freshman Chris Kaleta (Angola/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) scored goals for the Red Dragons. Senior Gerard Heinz (Kings Park/ NY Apple Core), sophomores Joey Christiano (Rochester/Port Hope Predators) and Corey John (Albany/SUNY Plattsburgh) and freshman Dave Williams (Mississauga, ON/Port Hope Predators) each recorded an assist. Sophomore Brittan Kuhlman (Elkhorn, NE/Winnipeg Saints) started in goal and made 17 saves through the first two periods. Freshman Doug Danzi (Nesconset/New Jersey Rockets) stopped 15 shots over the final 20 minutes.

Paul Rodrigues and Eric Selleck each added a goal and an assist for the Lakers, and Chris Laganiere also found the back of the net. Justin Fox and Tyler Lyon contributed two assists apiece. Goalie Kyle Gunn-Taylor registered 25 saves before receiving a game misconduct at the 52:17 mark. Paul Beckwith made three saves over the final 7:43.

The Lakers opened up a 4-0 lead through two periods on the strength of three power-play goals. Saville put the Red Dragons on the scoreboard at 1:04 of the third period off assists from Christiano and Williams. Moodie then netted his second of the night to make it a 5-1 game at 2:37. Kaleta notched his sixth goal of the season on the power play at 13:09 to conclude the scoring.
