Jessica Laing (Bloomville/South Kortright) has been named the 2009-10 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Year and 12th-year head coach
Jeannette Mosher has been selected as the SUNYAC Coach of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches. Laing and Mosher won the same awards last season.

Cortland brings a 25-3 record and a 20-game winning streak into its NCAA Division III tournament opener this Friday, March 5, at the University of Rochester. The Red Dragons won the SUNYAC tournament last weekend and also were the league's regular-season champion with a 17-1 record.
