SPARKILL, N.Y. – Cortland won all six singles matches in straight sets and captured three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-4 as the Red Dragons defeated host St. Thomas Aquinas, 9-0, in a dual match.

In doubles play, sophomore Alyssa Tretter (Batavia) and freshman Kara Caulfield (West Islip/Sayville) won 8-1 on the first flight and freshman Loraine Jelinek (Homer/home schooled) and sophomore Gabriela Medina (Rock Hill/Monticello) were 8-1 winners on the second flight. Sophomore Alana Sullivan (Stony Point/Albertus Magnus) and sophomore Megan Bagg (Lake Placid/The Northwood School) won 8-2 at third doubles.

Jelinek won 6-2, 6-4 at first singles and Caulfield was a 6-3, 6-0 victor at second singles. Tretter posted a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles and Medina won 6-3, 6-1 at fourth singles. At fifth singles, Sullivan defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-0, while at sixth singles, junior Ariel Kelner (Cortlandt Manor/The Masters School) was a 6-2, 6-2 winner.
