Nadrowski Leads Red Dragons to Victory at Wilson

Sophomore Sarah Nadrowski's 37.90 in the all-around was the 10th-best score in school history and included a career-best 9.45 on bars
CHAMBERSBURG, PA. – Sophomore Sarah Nadrowski (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) captured two events and placed second in another and sophomore Amanda Recor (Lancaster) placed first in one event and earned a second-place finish on a second as Cortland defeated Wilson College, 181.475-168.025, on the road Saturday afternoon.

Nadrowski established three personal bests at the meet. She won the all-around with a career-best score of 37.90, the 10th-best all-around score in school history. Nadrowski also recorded career highs in winning uneven bars with a 9.45 and placing second on beam with a 9.45. She also placed first on vault with a 9.55 and tied for second on floor with a 9.45. Recor scored a personal-best 9.525 to capture first on beam and placed second on vault with a 9.35.

Junior Marissa Goodstein (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) tied for second on floor exercise with a career-best 9.45 and finished sixth on vault with a 9.05. Senior Elisabeth Roberge (Southington, CT) and freshman Stephanie Sladky (East Islip) each earned two top-five finishes. Roberge placed fourth on beam with a career-high 9.025 and fifth on floor with a 9.10, while Sladky finished fourth on bars (8.55) and floor (9.325). 

Five other Red Dragons turned in at least one top-five finish. Freshman Courtney Mangini (Dix Hills/Commack) was third on bars with an 8.725. Senior Kasey Cutler (East Hampton, CT) placed third on beam (9.125), freshman Kellie Ryan (Selden/Newfield) was fourth on vault (9.15), and senior Lauren Pytel (Naugatuck, CT/Holy Cross) and freshman Stephanie Citro (Ronkonkoma/Sachem North) finished fifth on bars and vault, respectively, with scores of 8.375 and 9.125.

Alexandre Howard placed second in the all-around for Wilson with a 35.65. Howard finished second on bars (8.85), third on vault (9.20) and fifth on beam (8.95). Samantha Vance took top honors on floor with a 9.60 and finished third in the all-around (33.55).
