CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland's season-best score of 187.50 was not enough as the Red Dragons lost to Div. I Rutgers University, 193.525-187.50, in a home dual meet. Cortland sophomore Sarah Nadrowski (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) posted the second-highest all-around score in school history with a 38.40 for a third-place finish. The school record is 38.575 by Lindsey Marranca during the 2003-04 season.

Rutgers was led by freshman Luisa Maria Leal-Restrepo (Cali, Columbia), who won the all-around with a score of 39.175. She also won vault with a 9.875, uneven bars with a 9.725 and floor exercise with a 9.90, and placed third on balance beam with a 9.675.

Sophomore Jenna Zito (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) won balance beam and finished second on vault for the Scarlet Knights with a 9.775 in each event. She finished second in the all-around with a 38.725. Sophomore Danielle D'Elia (Colts Neck, NJ/Freehold Regional) placed second in three events – uneven bars (9.60), balance beam (9.725) and floor exercise (9.875).

Nadrowski recorded three career highs for Cortland. In addition to her best all-around performance, she also finished third on uneven bars with a 9.525 and tied for fifth on floor exercise with a 9.75. Nadrowski also was seventh on balance beam with a 9.50, a tenth of a point shy of her career high.

Freshman Courtney Mangini (Dix Hills/Commack) tied Nadrowski for fifth on floor exercise with a career-high 9.75 and finished fourth in the all-around with a career-best 36.925.

Four other Red Dragons turned in top-seven efforts. Junior Marissa Goodstein (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) tied for fifth on vault (9.70), senior Kasey Cutler (East Hampton, CT) finished sixth on uneven bars (9.325), sophomore Amanda Recor (Lancaster) placed sixth on balance beam (9.525) and senior Elisabeth Roberge (Southington, CT) finished seventh on uneven bars (9.20).

Cortland will compete at Ithaca College's Harriet Marranca Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.
