Nadrowski Wins Three Events and All-Around as Cortland Defeats Springfield, 184.20-179.75

Marissa Goodstein's 9.725 on vault ties her career best and is tied for the second-best vault in school history
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Sophomore Sarah Nadrowski (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) won three events and the all-around and junior Marissa Goodstein (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) matched the second-best vault score in school history as Cortland defeated visiting Springfield College, 184.20-179.75, in a dual meet at Corey Gymnasium.

Nadrowski finished first among three all-around competitors with a 37.90. She set a career high with her winning score of 9.60 on floor exercise and tied her career best with a first-place score of 9.45 on uneven bars. She also won balance beam with a 9.325 and placed second on vault with a 9.525. Goodstein won vault with a 9.725. The score tied her career best and is tied for second on Cortland's career vault charts. The school record of 9.75 was set by Chris Cate last season.

Sophomore Amanda Recor (Lancaster) tied for second on balance beam with a 9.275, finished third on vault with a 9.425 and tied her career high on floor exercise with a fourth-place effort of 9.325. Sophomore Annelise Hoffman (Pine Plains/Stissing Mountain) tied for second on balance beam (9.275) and was fourth on vault (9.40), while freshman Stephanie Sladky (East Islip) finished second on uneven bars with a career-high 9.275 and tied for fifth on floor exercise , also with a 9.275.

Freshman Courtney Mangini (Dix Hills/Commack) tied for fifth place on both vault (9.325) and balance beam (8.90). She competed in the all-around for the first time in her collegiate career and placed third with a 35.85. Junior Ashley Fleming (Holbrook/Sachem East) tied for fifth place on balance beam with an 8.90.

Springfield's Brittany Baglow finished second on floor exercise with a 9.575, followed by Christina Pagella in third place with a 9.425. Marissa Rusin placed third on uneven bars with a 9.10, with teammate Ashley Moreck fourth with a 9.075.

Also for the Pride, Annmarie Graziosa finished fourth on balance beam (9.025), Sarah Perry placed fifth on uneven bars (8.90), Carly Flynn tied for fifth on vault (9.325) and Lizzie Sartell tied for fifth on floor exercise (9.275). Baglow was second in the all-around (36.15).

Cortland will host Ursinus College and Div. I Rutgers University in a tri-meet next Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.
