CORTLAND, N.Y. – Freshman Elise Konikoff (Hamburg) won balance beam and sophomore Courtney Mangini (Dix Hills/Commack) led a Cortland sweep of the top five spots on floor exercise in the Red Dragons' 188.675-183.875 dual-meet loss at home to Division I Cornell University.

Konikoff posted a winning score of 9.65 on balance beam and junior Sarah Nadrowski (Buffalo/Kenmore East) placed fourth with a 9.525. Konikoff also was Cortland's top vaulter with a second-place score of 9.675, followed by Nadrowski in a tie for third with a 9.55.

Mangini matched her career high on floor exercise with a 9.825 and was one of four Red Dragons to record career bests in the event. Sophomore Stephanie Sladky (East Islip) finished second with a personal-best 9.775. Junior Amanda Recor (Lancaster) was third with a 9.675, senior Marissa Goodstein (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) finished fourth with a career-best 9.65 and sophomore Kellie Ryan (Port Jefferson Station/Newfield) tied for fifth with a career-high 9.575. Cortland finished with a team score of 48.50 on floor, just two tenths of a point shy of tying the school record.

Cortland's top finisher on uneven bars was freshman Allie Osmundsen (Hicksville) with a seventh-place score of 8.90. Cortland featured the lone two all-around performers in the meet. Nadrowski finished first with a 37.025 and Mangini scored a combined 36.525.

For Cornell, McKenna Archer won vault with a 9.825. Lexi Schupp and Ashley Maher tied for first on uneven bars, each with a 9.65. Archer and Maia Vernacchia tied for second on balance beam with scores of 9.60 apiece. Archer and Jessie Starcevich tied for fifth on floor exericise, along with Ryan, at 9.575.

Cortland will travel to Springfield College on Sunday, Feb. 5, for a 1 p.m. meet.
