Cortland sophomore Sarah Bonnell (Norwich) has been chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 29.

Bonnell won the long jump with an ECAC Div. III Championship qualifying distance of 5.43 meters (17 feet, 9.75 inches) at the Cortland Winter Invitational on Saturday. Her distance is the top performance in SUNYAC this season and currently ranks 13th nationally in Division III.

Bonnell also finished second in the 60-meter dash (ECAC-qualifying 8.10 seconds) and anchored the second-place 4x400-meter relay (4:19.92) at the meet.
