Lindsay Abbott (South Onondaga/Onondaga Central) recorded five goals and five assists and senior
Erin Kollar (East Islip) reached the career 100-point mark with a four-goal, three-assist effort as nationally third-ranked Cortland defeated Nazareth College, 21-7.
Freshman
Marilyn Farrell (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius) added three goals and two assists, junior
Maria Di Fato (Camillus/West Genesee) finished with three goals and one assist and junior
Gina Campese (East Syracuse/East Syracuse-Minoa) contributed two goals and one assist for the Red Dragons (6-1).
Junior
Shauna Hutchinson (Islip Terrace/East Islip) made five saves in 56:05 of action, while sophomore
Courtney Morgan (Locust Valley) played the final 3:55 and did allow any goals nor make any saves.
Megan Cregan (Rochester/Brighton) led Nazareth (2-4) with two goals. Erinn Wood (Vestal) scored once and assisted on two goals and Amy McIntosh (Horseheads) totaled a goal and an assist. Sophomore goalie Tara Prosak (Jamesville/Jamesville-DeWitt) made 14 saves.
Cortland led 6-2 midway through the first half, but Nazareth rattled off three straight goals, two by Cregan, and the Golden Flyers were within 6-5 with 9:48 left in the period. The Red Dragons responded, however, as Abbott scored the game's next four goals, followed by tallies by Farrell and Kollar, to take a 12-5 lead with 2:07 left. McIntosh scored for the hosts with 25 seconds left to close Nazareth's halftime deficit to 12-6.
Cortland put the game away with six straight goals in the first 13 minutes of the second half. Kollar scored three of those goals and now has 103 career points (83 goals, 20 assists). Nazareth's lone goal of the second half came off the stick of Kayleigh Pearson with 7:12 left. The Red Dragons finished the game with two Campese goals and a score by junior
Taylor Harney (Patchogue/Patchogue-Medford), who finished with a goal and two assists.
Cortland outshot Nazareth, 42-16. Red Dragon junior

The Red Dragons return to action on Saturday, March 31, at Oswego at 11 a.m. for their SUNYAC opener. Nazareth opens Empire 8 play on Saturday at Alfred at 1 p.m.
