Cortland senior attack
Mike Tota (Webster/Webster Schroeder) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 8.
Tota helped lead nationally second-ranked Cortland (10-0, 2-0 SUNYAC) to a pair of wins last week and in the process became just the eighth player in school history to reach 200 career points. He currently has 146 goals, ranked fourth in school history, and 55 assists for 201 points.
In a 16-11 victory versus Western New England, Tota recorded seven points on two goals and a career-high five assists and scooped up four ground balls. In an 11-6 win versus Oneonta, he registered two goals and two assists and collected five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Tota is second on the team this spring with 31 points on 18 goals and 13 assists.
