CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's gymnastics team opened its season by posting a score of 182.575 in a home meet versus Wilson College. Senior Sarah Nadrowski (Buffalo/Kenmore East) posted meet-high scores in all four events with a 9.625 on vault, a 9.45 on uneven bars, a 9.425 on balance beam and a 9.70 on floor exercise for an all-around total of 38.20.

Senior Amanda Recor (Lancaster) tied for first with Nadrowski on balance beam with a 9.425, finished second on vault (9.40) and third on floor exercise (9.575). Junior Courtney Mangini (Commack) placed second on floor exercise (9.65) and third on balance beam (9.15).

Also for the Red Dragons, freshman Maddy Scozzie (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) and freshman Meghan Goyden (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) each recorded a 9.35 to tie for third on vault. Sophomore Becky Metz (Buffalo/Starpoint) finished second on uneven bars (9.125), followed by freshman Emily Nagy (Merrimack, NH) in third place (8.70).

Sophomore Jennifer Miller was the lone competitor for Wilson. She finished with an all-around score of 29.05, including an 8.15 on vault and a sixth-place 8.10 on floor exercise.

Cortland will host Div. II West Chester University of Pennsylvania next Sunday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m.
