CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland lost a 9-0 decision to visiting Oneonta in a women's tennis dual match at the Cortland Varsity Courts.

The visiting Red Dragons won 8-1 in first doubles, 8-0 in second doubles and 8-6 in third doubles. Oneonta also won the first five singles matches in straight sets.

The day's closest match came at sixth singles where Oneonta's Riane Reithel outlasted Cortland junior Leah Hathaway (Schuylerville). Reithel won the first set, 6-1, but Hathaway won the second set, 7-6, after claiming a 14-12 tiebreaker. They then played a super-tiebreaker to 10 points in lieu of a third set, and Reithel won that 10-5 to claim the match.

Cortland will travel to Misericordia University in Pennsylvania for a match on Tuesday, April 23, at 4 p.m.
