CORTLAND, N.Y. – Four different Red Dragons won individual events as Cortland defeated visiting Springfield, 186.675-185.875, in a women's gymnastics dual meet.

Junior Maddy Scozzie (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) won uneven bars with a career-best 9.625 and finished fifth on balance beam with a 9.45. Senior Elise Konikoff (Hamburg) won balance beam with a 9.75 and tied for fifth on vault with a 9.25.

Senior Allie Osmundsen (Hicksville) was the floor exercise winner with a 9.575. Junior Meghan Goyden (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) tied for first on vault with a 9.45 and finished sixth on balance beam (9.35).

Sophomore Amanda Scanlon (Glastonbury, CT) turned in a pair of second-place finishes with scores of 9.675 on balance beam and 9.55 on floor exercise. Senior Nicole Zangoglia (Old Bridge, NJ) tied for second on uneven bars with a 9.375.

Two other Red Dragons earned top-six places. Freshman Arianna Turso (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) finished fifth on uneven bars (9.275) and sophomore Bri Michaels (Charlestown, RI/East Greenwich) was sixth on uneven bars (career-best 9.25).

For Springfield, Kristin Feliu tied for first with Goyden on vault with a 9.45  and Lauren Pocius finished third on both beam (9.65) and bars (9.45). Abby Clark and Pocius were the meet's lone two all-arounders; Clark finished first (36.80 and Pocius second (36.675).

Cortland returns home on Sunday, Feb. 8, as part of the school's first "Beauty and the Beast" event. The Red Dragon gymnasts will host Southern Connecticut State and the wrestling team will host Oswego, with both events starting at 1 p.m. and running simultaneously in Corey Gymnasium.
