CORTLAND, N.Y. – Amanda Scanlon (Glastonbury, CT) finished second on balance beam and Meghan Goyden (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) tied for second on floor exercise as the Cortland women's gymnastics team concluded its home dual-meet season with a 189.175-185.875 loss to Brockport.

Scanlon recorded a 9.60 on beam and was the meet's lone all-arounder with a score of 37.075. Goyden matched her career high on floor with a 9.65.

Meghan Cobb (Hobe Sound, FL/Clark Advanced Learning Ctr.) finished third on uneven bars with a 9.375. McKenna Passalacqua (Whitesboro) and Rachel Filipski (Lancaster) tied for third on vault, each with a 9.625. Passalacqua's score is her new career high in the event.

Also for the Red Dragons, Arianna Turso (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) placed fourth on bars (9.275), Bailey Gildemeyer (Liverpool/Cicero-North Syracuse) finished fourth on floor (9.625), Michaela Stumpf (Williamsville/Williamsville South) finished fifth on bars (career-high 9.225), and Marley Bender (Riverside, CA/Woodcrest Christian) was sixth on vault (season-high 9.55).

For Brockport, Lily Jagodzinski won both beam (9.725) and floor (9.75), Stephanie Mager won vault (9.725), and Maddie O'Braitis was the top performer on bars (9.575).

Following the meet, Cortland honored its seniors - Bender, Goyden, Maddy Scozzie (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run), Emily Nagy (Merrimack, NH), and student assistant coach/former gymnast Courtney Boyle.

Cortland will finish its dual season at Ithaca College on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. Ithaca will also host the NCGA East Regionals on March 5, and Brockport will host the NCGA national championships March 18-19.
