ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Freshman Emma Schulz (Poughquag/Arlington) posted two top-three finishes, including a tie for first on balance beam, and junior Rachel Filipski (Lancaster) won vault during Cortland's 188.825-182.675 dual-meet loss at Division I University of Alaska Anchorage late Friday evening.

The teams will compete again on Sunday at 2 p.m. (7 p.m. Eastern) at UAA.

Schulz tied for first on beam with a 9.80, tied for the third-best score in the event in school history and just 0.025 off the school record. She tied for third on floor exercise with a 9.50.

Filipski won vault with a 9.55. She has finished first in the event in each of Cortland's first two meets this winter.

Senior Arianna Turso (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) tied for fifth place on both uneven bars (9.05) and floor exercise (9.25). Senior McKenna Passalacqua (Whitesboro) placed fifth on beam (9.675), while junior Lindsay Riggs (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA/Trabuco Hills) tied for fifth on bars (9.05).

Also earning top-six finishes for the Red Dragons were junior Lily Szafranski (Williamsville/Williamsville South) on vault with a sixth-place score of 9.40 and freshman Samantha Betz (Frederick, MD/Urbana) with a sixth-place effort of 9.125 on floor exercise.

The host Seawolves were led by Hope Nelson, who won bars (9.75) and tied for first with Schulz on beam (9.80). Isabelle Fox was the winner on floor (9.70), and as the lone all-around competitor finished with a score of 38.375. Kaylin Mancari finished second on floor (9.675) and third on vault (9.50).
