Jack Kobuskie is physical education curriculum coordinator and basketball coach for the Gloversville Enlarged School District.
At Cortland he played golf, baseball and basketball, serving as captain of the basketball team and establishing a career point record as well as seasonal point record in 1946-47. He has been recognized with numerous awards from community and civic groups in Gloversville for coaching and for his work with young people in Gloversville.
He received an award for coaching his 300th varsity basketball win during the 1972-73 season. In addition he has been city chairman of the March of Dimes drive in Gloversville and has been associated with the Boy Scout Camp Fund drive there.
UPDATE: Kobuskie passed away on July 3, 2011, at the age of 87.
