Cortland improves to 6-2 with the win and the Knights drop to 4-2. The teams were scheduled to also play on Friday, but that game has been canceled due to the weather.

Mike Harrington (Glens Falls) came on in relief for Barnes and pitched through the end of the fifth. Harrington allowed two hits and struck out two batters. Michael DeCarlo (Wynantskill/Troy) and Patrick Healy (Massapequa) pitched the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. They each allowed two hits, walked one, fanned one and both gave up one run.

The game remained scoreless until the third inning when Steven Figueroa (Bronx/ St. Raymond's) and Justin Teague (North Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) hit sacrifice flies to drive in the first two runs of the game for the Red Dragons. Justin Chasmer answered with an RBI double in the bottom half of the inning for Arcadia.

Cortland scored six runs in the fourth to increase its lead to 8-1. Ralph Nuzzi (Mount Kisco/Fox Lane) singled in a run, Phillips brought home two with a double and then scored on a throwing error. Massa hit an RBI double down the right field line and Schetter brought home the final run of the inning with a single up the middle.

The scoring in the sixth started with an RBI single by Massa, who also scored the next run on a fielding error by the Knights. Michalski singled in two more runs and Nate Budge (Central Square/Paul V. Moore) brought home Michalski with a pinch-hit RBI ground rule double. Casey Komanecky (Auburn) drove in the next run with a single to right and Budge would eventually score on a fielding error to increase the lead to 15-1. Massa hit an RBI sacrifice fly, Teague doubled in a run and Schetter brought home another with a single. Michalski singled to left to drive in one more and Budge capped off the scoring for the Red Dragons in the sixth with a two-RBI double. The inning included 18 at-bats for Cortland.
