Dustin Marshall Selected to All-SUNYAC First Team

SUNY Cortland junior guard Dustin Marshall (Newfield) has been named to the 2009-10 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's basketball all-conference first team.

Marshall led Cortland this season with 13 points, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He also ranked third on the team with 5.2 rebounds per contest. Marshall shot 51 percent from the field (123-of-244), including 48 percent (53-of-111) from three-point range, and was an 84 percent shooter from the foul line.

Marshall scored in double figures 19 times overall and in 13 of Cortland's last 14 games. He scored 26 points in a home win over Potsdam and 25 points, including 6-of-6 three-point shooting, in a victory over Fredonia in the SUNYAC tournament quarterfinals.

Cortland finished 16-11 overall and 11-7 in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons tied for third place in the SUNYAC regular-season standings and advanced to the semifinals of the league tournament.
