Kyle was named the SUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after placing fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational. The top Division III finisher, O'Brien provisionally qualified for nationals with a time of 9:08.89. He missed his own school record by just 0.03 seconds and was less than a second away from automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
