Kyle earned All-America honors with a 17th-place finish out of 276 runners at the NCAA Div. III Men's Cross Country Championships in Highland Hills, Ohio. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 25:52.9 for his first cross country All-America award. O'Brien's finish helped the Red Dragons place fifth in the nation, their fourth consecutive top-five showing.
