Cabel earned all-region honors with a 32nd-place finish out of 299 runners at the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Atlantic Regionals in Canton. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:03.1 McCandless improved from 94th at the 1-mile mark to 51st after two miles, 45th after three miles and 39th with about a mile left before finishing 32nd.
