Nick was named the Most Valuable Player at the Norwich University Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament, posting a 1-0-1 record with a 2.88 GAA, 92 saves and a .939 save percentage. He registered 53 saves in a 5-4 win over nationally sixth-ranked Salve Regina, then turned aside 39 shots through regulation and overtime in a 2-2 tie against nationally fourth-ranked Norwich in the finals. Cortland won the shootout, 2-1, to claim the tournament title as Modica stopped four of five attempts by the Cadets.
