Demitreus won the 174-pound title at the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championships with a 3-0 record. Seeded second, he opened with a 16-1 technical fall, followed by a pin over the third seed in the semifinals. Henry earned the title with a 5-3 decision in sudden victory overtime over the top seed from Ithaca.
