Nyia was named the MVP of the SUNYAC Women’s Basketball Tournament after helping Cortland win twice and claim its first league title since 2010. She finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a 57-52 win over host New Paltz in the finals and had 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals in a semifinal win over Oneonta.
