Mateo was named the SUNYAC Men’s Soccer Tournament MVP as Cortland repeated as league champion. He scored once and assisted on a goal in the Red Dragons’ 3-1 win at Buffalo State in the finals and he scored Cortland’s lone goal in a 1-1 semifinal tie at Oneonta while also adding a successful attempt as Cortland advanced in penalty kicks.
