Erin was named the Most Valuable Player of the SUNYAC Field Hockey Tournament after helping Cortland defeat Oneonta, 2-1 in overtime, in the championship game. Smith scored the game-winning goal with 4:57 left in the first sudden-victory overtime period and also assisted on the goal that tied the game at 1-1 in the first half.
