Lou was named the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) Rookie of the Week after winning the 174-pound weight class at the Oneonta Red Dragon Invitational. Seeded fourth, he pinned three of his four opponents, including the second seed in the finals, and defeated the top seed, 7-5, in the semifinals.
