Joe earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Week and ECAC Div. III Southeast Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping Cortland defeat William Paterson, 26-15. He recorded 4.5 tackles for losses, including 3.5 sacks, among his nine total tackles. He also had one quarterback hurry, and one of his sacks forced a fumble in Cortland territory early in the fourth quarter with the Red Dragons holding on to a five-point lead.
