Mairead was named SUNYAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week after recording a combined 13 saves in wins over New Paltz and Oneonta. Making her first collegiate start, she stopped the five shots, including a save with 36 seconds left, in a 3-2 win over New Paltz that clinched Cortland's SUNYAC regular-season title. Hourihan then made eight saves in a 3-2 double-overtime victory versus Oneonta.
