Melique finished second overall and was the top collegiate finisher among 61 entries in the 100-meter dash at the Moravian College Coach P Open. His time of 10.88 seconds is an ECAC qualifier. Garcia also placed fourth of 77 in the 200-meter dash (22.68) and ran a leg on the 4x400-meter relay that finished fourth (3:24.99).
