Joe successfully defended his Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference title at 197 pounds during the league championships Saturday in Oneonta. He went 3-0 on the day with a pin, a 12-3 major decision and a 6-1 win in the finals. Giaramita is 18-1 this season with five pins.
