Kayla won the first-ever SUNYAC women's indoor pentathlon title with a score of 3,115 points at the league's championship meet at Brockport. Her performance included 881 points in the 60-meter hurdles with an ECAC-qualifying time of 9.14 seconds. Koelbel is ranked sixth among pentathlon performers for the upcoming ECAC Div. III Championships in New York City.
