Carson was named Empire 8 Football Defensive Player of the Week after helping Cortland win at Ithaca, 11-8, for its sixth straight Cortaca Jug victory. The win also clinched the Empire 8 title for the Red Dragons and an automatic berth into the NCAA playoffs. Lassiter made a team-high 13 tackles, eight solo, and surpassed the career 200-tackle mark.
