The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week, Lou went 5-1 with two pins at the NWCA National Duals in Indiana. Ranked fourth nationally at 174 pounds, he defeated the nationally top-ranked wrestler, 9-5, and pinned the sixth-ranked wrestler. His lone loss was a 10-8 decision to the fifth-ranked wrestler. He helped Cortland finish in sixth-place at the 24-team tournament with a 4-2 team record.
